Birth/Death Totems

Inspired by the ancient Celtic alphabet of Ogham, in which different native timbers symbolise different qualities, these totems are opposites. Carved in their respective timbers, Birch represents birth, whilst Yew represents death. The letterforms are derived from Uncials, the script that the Romans first used to transcribe the pagan culture into latin.
